What is UCMAS?
In addition to strengthening mathematical skills, the UCMAS approach fosters overall brain growth and lays the groundwork for fundamental blocks such as concentration, observation, memory, imagination, comprehension, judgment, analysis, reasoning, and self-confidence - essential skills that lead to increased confidence and success in all subjects and in life.

In Iran, the Noandishan Parto Rah Abrisham Institute is the exclusive representative of the UCMAS program. Through conducting UCMAS educational classes at various levels, this institute helps Iranian children and adolescents reap the benefits of this educational program.
What is the ucmas philosophy?
UCMAS is built upon the complete development of the brain and empowering children. This program, using the abacus, helps children utilize their full brain capacity and cultivate various skills.

Member States
UCMAS, with over 80 representatives worldwide, is a leader in mental arithmetic and abacus education, benefiting millions of children. Iran is the thirty-ninth member of this large group.
This institution became a member of this global educational group in September 2011 and began its activities as the official representative of the International UCMAS (Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System) Institute under the supervision of the Ministry of Education in Iran. It is at the forefront of developmental and mental arithmetic programs in the country.
UCMAS semester program
The UCMAS program is offered in 10 primary levels and 2 preliminary levels. It is suitable for students aged 6 to 8 and 9 to 13 who have the ability to read, write, and perform addition and subtraction operations with numbers from 1 to 9.
Each level of this program lasts for three and a half months and is conducted once a week. Each session lasts for two hours, during which children are taught mental arithmetic skills and mental abilities such as concentration, memory, problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking.
How to hold competitions
The Noandishan Institute holds mental arithmetic competitions with abacus aiming to elevate students' academic level. These competitions occur in three stages: provincial, national, and international. Students participate in the provincial level competition across various skill levels. Winners advance to the national level, and then the national champions proceed to the international competition held in one of the member countries of UCMAS.
UCMAS competitions provide an opportunity to encourage studying, foster competition, and enhance students' mental arithmetic skills.
Training packages
The UCMAS educational packages include unique tools and materials for precise and easy learning of mental arithmetic with an abacus. These packages consist of the following items:
• Student abacus (soroban): With 17 rods and 5 beads on each rod for performing calculations.
• Instructional books (full-color): 2 main books, 1 exercise book, audio CD, shorthand notebook, audio notebook, flashcards, and student bag.

Our mission and passion are lifelong development and fostering a love for learning in our students. Our primary focus in all our activities is serving children. We assure children and their families that there is an opportunity for growth for each student in our program. Our approach is child-centered, recognizing that every child learns differently and at their own pace. In this program, students will have the opportunity to develop their skills to the best of their abilities. Our trained instructors assist them in this endeavor. UCMAS is a combination of an ancient teaching tool - the abacus - with modern educational skills for the dynamism and evolution of the whole child's brain, promoting learning and particularly, perceiving math learning as excitement and amusement. This educational program has been created for years, tested repeatedly, and has resulted in a successful global experience.
